Twins came back and defeated the Orioles

Mitch Garver hit a two-run double and the Minnesota Twins overcame their roster problems to score six runs in the eighth and beat the Baltimore Orioles 8-3 on Monday night.

DJ Stewart hit a two-run home run to put Baltimore up 3-2 as leadoff hitter after a 45-minute rain break in the eighth. But Minnesota came back with six straight hits with two outs in the bottom.

Jorge Alcalá (1-1), who returned to the mound after the break, allowed two runs and two hits in one inning for the Twins. Tanner Scott (2-3) took the loss.

Trevor Larnach and Kyle Garlick homered for Minnesota, which had four active starters but unavailable to start the game with injuries. The Twins have won three of their last four games.

For the Orioles, Freddy Galvis went 2 for 4; Anthony Santander 4-2 with an RBI.
