Tui today hosts the Final Four of children’s basketball

This weekend, El Vello Pavillón de Tui hosts the Basketball Final Four in which the men’s children’s team of the Tui Basketball Club will dispute, today, Saturday, the classification for the Spanish Championship to be held in Betanzos.

The competition was presented at the town hall by the mayor, Enrique Cabaleiro; the Councilor for Sports, Rafael Estévez; the head of the Vigo area of ​​the Galician Basketball Federation, José Luis Pérez, and the president and sports director of CB Tui, Nicolás Lorenzo and Javier Niño.

For the mayor, “basketball is a sign of identity for Tui and the celebration of this Final Four will be an important and happy moment for this city,” and he thanked the Galician Basketball Federation for choosing Tui for the dispute of this event. He also highlighted the City Council’s commitment to basketball, recalling the recent remodeling of the New Pavilion and highlighted that in the coming months the Vello Pavillón will be completely remodeled.

The Councilor for Sports, Rafael Estévez, congratulated the children’s team for this classification to contest the Final Four of the Spanish Championship and reaffirmed “in the city council’s commitment to sport, increasing the amount allocated, in the approved budgets, the subsidy for clubs from 97,500 to 119,000 euros ”.

The president of the Tui Basketball Club, Nicolás Lorenzo, recognized the “intense work of the city council in the maintenance of the sports facilities” and explained that CB Tui in this final to four and being the champion of the regular league, is the main favorite. He also recalled that “CB Tui in grassroots sports is one of the main teams at the Galician level, facing and competing at the same level with larger teams and with greater budget and resources.”

Finally, the head of the Vigo area of ​​the Galician Basketball Federation, highlighted the federation’s harmony with the new board of CB Tui and recognized “the important history of this city as the venue for basketball championships.”

The Tui Basketball Club, as the first classified, will look today for one of the three places at stake against Aringal Basket Ferrol. The final will be at 7:30 p.m., through Fegaba TV.n
