Mothers from different departments participated in the meeting and it was held in the Juan Ulises García Saleta (Whiche) room.
Antonio Acosta, president of the COD, greeted the ladies and highlighted the role they play in the life of every person. “You are what make the life of each person possible,” said the top leader of the COD.
He indicated that women “become mothers by a design of God, that is why they are the foundation of life.”
He spoke of the role they play in the home and as a companion to man. “You are the mainstay of the family,” he added.
During the activity, Dulce María Piña, member of the COD and president of the Women and Sports Commission of the COD, also spoke. She stressed that “every day is ours, it belongs to the mothers.”
Piña, a former judo athlete, immortal of the Dominican sport, mother and grandmother, recalled that the woman from the moment she conceives begins to transform herself until she becomes a mother.
Gilberto García, Secretary General of the COD, as well as José Luis Ramírez, (Borola), treasurer of the organization, and Robertina Columna, in charge of human resources, were also at the activity.
Shortly before going to breakfast, Johanny Trinidad made an invocation for the occasion, while Santa Mendoza, on behalf of the celebrated ones, gave thanks for the breakfast in honor of the mothers who work in the COD.
