Moroccan champion Hafsa Yatim won the silver medal in the under 78 kg category at the 42nd edition of the African Judo Championship which took place last weekend in Dakar, Senegal. Yatim’s medal is added to eight other medals gleaned by Morocco in this competition and which allowed it to rank second in the standings with 4 gold, 1 silver and 4 bronze.

Nice performance for Moroccan judoka Hafsa Yatim in the under 78 kg category. The Moroccan won the silver behind the Tunisian Marie Branser and the Algerian Kawthar Walal. Beaten by the Moroccan in the semi-final. This performance is the fruit of the efforts of Judoka who continues to train tirelessly to climb the ranks and by the efforts made by the Royal Moroccan Judo Federation and the University chaired by Chafik El Kettani. The federation has been following in Yatim’s footsteps since she moved into the junior category. His ambition is to qualify for the 2024 Paris Olympics. In addition to her excellent career in judo, the 23-year-old athlete has successfully completed her school career. She holds a bachelor’s degree in economics, a bachelor’s degree in physical education from the Moulay Rachid Institute in Rabat and a master’s degree in sports management in Paris, France.
