The head of Pilsen, Šádek, withdrew his candidacy for vice-chairman of the FACR

Viktoria Plzeň CEO Adolf Šádek will not run for vice-president of the Football Association of the Czech Republic. The 46-year-old official has withdrawn his candidacy and will only run for the position of member of the executive committee for the clubs of the first and second leagues. He stated this on Tuesday on the website of the West Bohemian club.

“I informed this decision to my colleagues at the LFA League Committee meeting on Tuesday and now I want to announce it publicly. At the General Meeting I will run for only one position, a member of the executive committee for the clubs of the first and second leagues,” said Šádek.

The head of the Pilsen footballers was to run for vice-president for the Czech Republic together with Michal Fischer, Martin Malík, Jan Richter, Rudolf Řepka and Vladimír Šmicer.

Instead, he will run for one of two vacancies on the executive committee for the first and second leagues. Tomáš Bůzek, Martin Malík, Jiří Rýva, Dušan Svoboda and Jaroslav Tvrdík will oppose him.

The FACR General Assembly will take place on June 3 in Nymburk.
