And when you reveal to Fulgor Trevignano that you can count on the higher figure, the management’s reflection is a mix of surprise and satisfaction: “We didn’t think we were so high up”, sports director Luca Martignago begins. all from the municipal area. We are a club with a certain tradition and important numbers: 300 members and 13 teams ».

But the speech inevitably falls on the difficulties of the last year due to the pandemic: «These donations are a precious help. It was not easy, the basic activity started again only in May ».

Donations that represent vital injections of money for small companies, put to a severe test in recent months: “These contributions help us to keep the structures open, allow us to pay the bills”, underlines Manuele Pavanello, president of Ruggers Tarvisium, “A help fundamental already in past years, even more so at this time. It’s been a complicated month, we had to grit our teeth. We hope for an almost normal restart after the summer ».

But how can such a substantial contribution be explained? The interest of 132 subscribers for a total of € 8,038? «There are the families of the athletes, there are the former players», Pavanello continues, «The years pass, but the ties remain close. We are a company with 250 members, the pool is considerable ».

A historic club with important numbers, a bit like Montebelluna Nuoto. The club that forged Margherita Panziera, the synchromesh club Beatrice Callegari and Enrica Piccoli. Much of Treviso’s Olympic dreams have their roots in the County swimming pools.

“The support comes from the families of our athletes, we count 250”, remarked the president Fabio Flora, “A great closeness that has also manifested itself in other forms: I am thinking of the extra costs that have incurred in recent months, considering that the facilities could remain open only to agonists. Parents who believe in society, they know what we do “. The indoor pools are still closed to the public: the white zone is awaited, so as not to have to go to July 1st. The external ones have reopened for about ten days, but the weather is whimsical. “The contributions are an important support for a sector that has suffered a lot,” concludes Flora.

After Tarvisium, the “richest” association in the capital is Judo Treviso: 18th place, 3,178 euros and 48 loyalists.

«A figure that does not surprise us», observes the technical director Alessandro Esposito, «I think of the historicity of the association and the very strong ties with the former members».
