Rafael Nadal spoke to AFP. The opportunity for him to review his many exploits at Roland Garros. He who is usually so modest admits that what he has achieved in Paris is incredible. He readily admits that having won the tournament 13 times justifies a statue of him being erected even though he has not yet retired.
« Ultimately it’s true that what I accomplished in Paris, even if I don’t like to say that, is something very, very special.. I am grateful and I understand the gesture (about the statue). I accomplished something that was very difficult to imagine. “
