Three new matches last night and three great reasons to get up, for the bravest. A series of the East always so intense and indecisive, a Jayson Tatum who allows the green people to still believe in it and the Clippers who finally react to Dallas. Send the recap!
The matches of the night
What you must remember
Hawks – Knicks : Atlanta laid the barbed wire at the house and Trae Young could count on his usual hairdresser an unstoppable collective around him: 7 players finish in double digit and an irreproachable state of mind in defense. When Julius Randle finishes 2/15 in shooting and Nerlens Noel grimaces all night long with a loose ankle, even a Derrick Rose in Kobe Bryant mode isn’t enough for New York. It’s been 2-1 and we feel the Knicks are on a tight rope.
Celtics – Nets : it was initially believed that Brooklyn had arrived at TD Garden in a steamroller, the Nets passing a 19-4 entry. James Harden was monstrous with precision and aggressiveness and finished in 41/10/7 with a fifth best sniper spot in the all-time Playoffs in the game and KD made his usual game to accumulate 80 points with his bearded pal. But opposite Jayson Tatum has reset the play-in mode. When Taco doesn’t want to be on vacation, the price is 50 pawns in the face and Jeff Green’s defense failed in Brooklyn to slow him down a bit. Big-up to Vavane who defended well and who put his 17 points in the second half, pointing finger at Kemba Walker author of a 3/1000 shooting and warning about Robert Williams out on injury in the first half. time.
Mavericks – Clippers : at 8-0 then 30-11 for the Texans, we started to pinch our noses very hard like Noël Flantier after a zero joke so as not to laugh too loudly at these Clippers. In the end, we did well as PG and Kawhi put in 20 shots in a row to put Los Angeles back in the game. And since it is always better to be too alone together than too alone alone, Luka Doncic’s 44 points were not enough in Dallas to go 3-0. What if Tyronn Lue was right when he said it’s easy to shoot when you’re outside? No, we’re kidding.
Le top pick and TTFL: Jayson Tatum
