Officially! Sturm Graz signs Lieferings Alexander Prass

SK Sturm Graz announces the commitment of Alexander Prass. The 20-year-old midfielder is moving from FC Liefering to Graz and is signing a long-term contract until 2024. Prass is an ÖFB U21 team player and impressed as Liefering captain with 16 scorer points last season.

The 20-year-old’s contract with Liefering expired at the end of the season. Prass played 28 games for the young bulls last season and scored six goals. In addition, Prass provided ten assists.

With newcomer Manprit Sarkaria (Austria Vienna) and returnee Martin Krienzer (Lafnitz), Sturm clarified two personal details beforehand. In addition, David Nemeth will return to Mainz 05 on a fixed basis. Kevin Friesenbichler and Bekim Balaj’s contracts were not renewed.

“Alexander Prass is a versatile midfielder who not only won us over at Liefering with his outstanding statistics, but also with his outstanding performance. The fact that he decided on SK Sturm despite other offers shows that our chosen path for young talents is extreme is interesting, “says Sturm managing director Andreas Schicker.

Alexander Prass is looking forward to the club: “Sturm is a top address in Austria and the overall package convinced me. I want to prove myself in the Bundesliga and I hope that I can soon play in front of the great fans of SK Sturm.”
