NBA: Order for Draft Lottery is available

The order for the draft lottery is in place. The big winners are the Oklahoma City Thunder and the New York Knicks, who won their tiebreakers respectively.

There were a total of six cases in which teams had the same balance after the ragular season, so that a tiebreaker had to decide. It did so through a drawing held at the NBA’s Secaucus, New Jersey office. Here are the results:

• The Oklahoma City Thunder (22-50) won the tiebreaker against the Cleveland Cavaliers.
• The Chicago Bulls (31-41) won the tiebreaker against the New Orleans Pelicans and the Sacramento Kings, the Pelicans won the second drawing.
• The Charlotte Hornets (33-39) won the tiebreaker against the San Antonio Spurs
• The New York Knicks (41-31) won the tiebreaker against the Atlanta Hawks
• The Dallas Mavericks (42-30, pick goes to the Knicks) won the tiebreaker against the Los Angeles Lakers and the Portland Trail Blazers (pick goes to Houston or OKC). The Lakers won the second drawing.
• The LA Clippers (47-25) won the tiebreaker against the Denver Nuggets.

The final draft order will be determined by the Draft Lottery on June 22nd, the NBA Draft is scheduled for July 29th.

* The pick of the Rockets is protected from 1-4, otherwise OKC has the right to choose.

* The Timberwolves pick is protected from 1-3, otherwise Golden State has the right to choose.

* The Bulls pick is protected from 1-4, otherwise Orlando gets the right to choose.
