MLB Rays franchise would go Tampa to Nashville stadium trouble

In the last few hours, information has emerged that Rays franchise could move from the Tampa Bay area to the city of Nashville if the team’s stadium situation in Tampa and St. Petersburg does not reach a solution long term. There are various Major League Baseball (MLB) teams that have recently considered moving from the city in which they currently reside due to various situations.

The Tampa Bay Rays and the cities of Tampa and St. Petersburg continue to have problems establishing a long-term solution regarding the team’s stadium.

This situation has caused the Rays franchise to consider a new city to reside in and one of the main candidates is Nashville, according to Charlie Miranda, a member of the Tampa City Council.

Miranda declared this Friday, May 28, that Brian Auld, president of the ‘Rayas’, confessed to him that they could relocate the franchise in Nashville “if the solution of the stadium is not in the Tampa area.”

However, Auld later came out to deny Brian Auld’s remarks saying that he “explicitly told him that he was not having conversations with other cities despite the fact that several of them, including Nashville, have shown interest.”

In recent months there has been a lot of controversy surrounding the Tampa Bay Rays’ home ground, Tropicana Field; And in recent days it has escalated as St. Petersburg Mayor Rick Kriseman cut off negotiations with the team about a new ball park.
