Do you know the football golf ? This is unlikely, even if there is a large field of more than four hectares devoted to this new discipline, at Lanouée (Morbihan). Clearly, it is neither more nor less than practicing the golf… with a soccer ball. The rules are almost the same: you have to put the ball in a hole. Except that here we use a balloon; that the holes are obviously bigger, and that there are no clubs, but that it is the skill and the force of the kick that make the difference.
It is from this concept that the idea of a “mini foot-golf” germinated in Loudéac. Jean-Luc Blanchard, Deputy Mayor, explains:
“We did not have a sufficiently large field for football so we adapted the idea to our level …”
And this is how the first mini football golf course in France was born.
A fun course
The principle is the same, except that the land is of course smaller – it is the old archery area, behind the fishing house in Aquarev -. On the other hand, the task of the players will not be made easier. Indeed, the technical, road and green spaces services of the city, which worked together on the project, have indeed strived to increase the obstacles to complicate the circuit: embankment; fence, nozzles dot the circuit.
“It’s something very fun, we are far from the purely sporting field. And above all, it’s an intergenerational game. It can be practiced with the family ”.
It was not until August for the game to open: the ground had to settle down and the grass had to take root well.
A fitness area
Second novelty: an area of fitness which will be adjoining the City park d’Aquarev, on the paved area equipped with a basketball backboard.
Step modules will allow you to work on your bodybuilding, your abs, etc.
A terminal will allow you to connect with your smartphone on the site:
“We flash our QR code and we have an explanation of how the devices work. But in addition, your performances can be saved, which allows you to follow your progress ”.
About ten pieces of equipment will be installed. The set should be available in June.
A beach volleyball area
Also available around June, a beach volleyball area. It will be created not far from the main car park, in place of an unused children’s play module.
Other projects
Others projects are in the boxes. Thus, the demarcation of the fitness trail will be redone and lengthened to reach 2000m.
For next year, it is still too early to make any announcements, except that the committee is considering the creation of a exhibition space, and an area of Bmx which would be installed near the pond of the fishing house. To be continued
