Juventus does not continue with trainer Andrea Pirlo, Massimiliano Allegri back | Football

Massimiliano Allegri will be the old / new trainer. The 53-year-old Italian, who already achieved great success with Juve from 2014 to 2019, will start as a trainer for the second time at the club from Turin. Allegri previously won five national titles and four doubles with Juventus, including the victory in the Coppa Italia.

Pirlo was appointed successor to Maurizio Sarri in August last year. The former Juventus player had just been appointed as trainer of the U21 team, but moved almost immediately to the main force of the national champion. Pirlo could not lead Juventus, including Matthijs de Ligt, to the tenth title in a row.

Ultimately, Champions League football was not secured by the Old lady. Also in the Billionaire Ball Juventus itself did not convince and was eliminated by FC Porto at an early stage. A bright spot was winning the Coppa Italia.
