How did the project of creating Sumus TV come about?
Sumus TV was born between conversations of several investors and journalists, we all know the media market and the difficulty that lies behind them, but we are also aware of the need that thousands of viewers have for us to tell things differently and that we generate content that the general media do not count.
Can you tell us what the new television project will consist of?
We want to be a plural media where everyone has open doors, in this project no one is set apart because of their ideology, much less, we believe in the plurality and freedom of the media. We want to report on all possible areas: culture and society, economy, politics and current affairs, sports, science and health, etc.
There are many viewers who do not feel represented with the current television networks since they always tell the same thing, about the same things and we see why we have studied it that way. We want to tell what others do not, such as talking about women’s sports or minority sports, talking about politics from a more international point of view to give people the ease of what is happening outside since what is happening inside many they already know.
What audience is it primarily aimed at?
Sumus TV was born as a chain for young people but of course without ruling out any age group because after all, all our content is also of interest to all types of viewers.

Is there space in Spain for a new television?
Of course there is, what happens is that very few dare to found a television station that broadcasts on DTT because it is true that the investment is very large, but of course space and that is why we are committed to this project. There are millions of people who cannot watch their hobbies through DTT, such as video games, and have to resort to social networks. We will occupy that space because we will be the first to release a program related to that world.
Sumus TV is part of a communication group or is independent..
No, Sumus TV is a new project that belongs as a registered trademark of a company of which I am a part and that has years of experience in the media and in this case, has made the leap to create a new channel on DTT .
When will they start broadcasting so that the public can see the new programming they offer?
As of today we do not have a specific scheduled date, we will try to leave as soon as possible. Now we are taking care of recording all the programs on the sets to generate the necessary content to go on DTT and to enhance our digital channels.
How is the new channel different from those that exist right now on the television grid?
It differs basically in the values, principles and its content but fundamentally in the latter. Sumus TV will deal with minority sports that have millions of followers and that they cannot enjoy through public television because no channel echoes them or does so in a minimal percentage compared to their grid such as cycling, tennis, badminton, triathlon , athletics, swimming, women’s sports, youth sports, video games, film culture, etc.
Can it be seen by any platform or social networks?
Yes, currently what we are doing can be seen on Instagram, Facebook, Youtube, Twitter and as of this week the website will be available where you can see the full content.
As director of this new project, what are you most excited about?
I have to be very grateful that among the investors in the project, which by the way I am one of them, they have thought of me, let’s say as a visible figure in the chain and as a director, I would like to take advantage of your question to also thank you publicly. What excites me the most of all is to see how little by little your work is reflected in a positive way and to get millions of people to find their reference channel on Sumus TV.
