Guinea stands up to Turkey before the Euro!

Great performance from Guinea. Despite an eleven reworked and amputated executives Naby Keita, Issiaga Sylla, Amadou Diawara, Mady Camara or François Kamano, the Syli National stood up to Turkey (0-0) this Monday in Antalaya in a friendly match.

In full preparation for the Euro, the Turks dominated this match but the Guineans showed a lot of solidarity to repel their assaults and offered a response in the counter-attack with in particular opportunities not materialized at the start of each period.

The pressure imposed by Cengiz Ünder’s teammates became untenable during the last quarter of an hour but Didier Six’s men were saved by their amounts on a free kick, by Aly Keita’s decisive saves especially then by the foot of Mohamed Ali Camara in added time. A very encouraging result given the absentees and to be confirmed Saturday facing a more affordable opponent, Togo. For its part, Turkey will continue its preparation Thursday against Moldova before facing Italy, Switzerland and Wales in Group A of the Euro.
