French Open: Maximilian Marterer and Oscar Otte reach the main field, Anna-Lena Friedsam retired

The seventh seeded Friedsam had to give the American Varvara Lepchenko a clear 1: 6 and 3: 6 defeat.

For the other German participants it was already the end of the line. Tamara Korpatsch, Mona Barthel and Antonia Lottner each lost in the second round.

It looks better with the German men. In addition to Marterer and Otte, Peter Gojowczyk and Tobias Kamke made it into the final qualifying round. Yannick Maden, Cedric-Marcel Stebe and Daniel Masur had to give up prematurely.
