Kudela is going to contest suspension of 10 games at TAS

Czech footballer Ondrej Kudela, who was suspended for ten games for alleged racist behavior, is going to the International Sports Tribunal (TAS) after his appeal was rejected by UEFA. His lawyers have announced this.

“In consultation with our client, we decided to seek redress about the motives for the decision,” said René Cienciala, one of Kudela’s lawyers. UEFA imposed a suspension on the Czech defender, which also applies at international level, in April. For example, Kudela misses the upcoming European Championship. He was reportedly racist against Glasgow Rangers midfielder Glen Kamara in a Europa League match on March 18.

According to Kamara, Kudela whispered racist accusations to him. Kamara also faced a three-game suspension after attacking Kudela after the final whistle in the tunnel. “I think it’s a shame that I have to miss the European Championship, but I want to be restored,” said Kudela herself. Kudela was called up by the Czech national coach pending a final decision.
