You don’t see every day that a tennis professional can still grin that broadly after a 1: 6, 0: 6 slap. But for Federico Coria, the rub against Novak Djokovic could not cause a bad mood.

On the contrary: The Argentine asked Djokovic for a selfie after the game and laughed beaming into the camera. For the world number 96. the first encounter with the Serb was a very special moment.

He later posted the picture on Instagram and wrote: “A game and the best selfie. Dream come true.”

All too often Coria does not compete against one of the greats. The next chance will be available in the next week. Then Coria plays against Feliciano Lopez in the first round of the French Open. If he makes it to the quarter-finals, it could come to revenge with Djokovic. Before that, however, he would have to potentially turn off Felix Auger-Aliassime and Roger Federer.
