The fifth stage of the tournament will take place at the National Tennis Center, in Guayaquil, from June 11 to 13.
Eduardo Gutiérrez was the figure of the fourth stage of the Ecuajunior Cup Tropicmax Circuit, which was held at the Portoviejo Tennis Club (PTC) and in which 63 of the best players from 34 academies in the country participated.
The Ecuadorian won the title in the category 11 years unified, by beating Cristina Montesdeoca 6-0, 6-1, and in the 13 years unified, beating Remigio Montesdeoca 7-5, 6-2.
For its part, in the category over 14 years unified, Áxel Santos defeated Valentina Martínez by a score of 6-0 and 6-3.
“We are enormously grateful for the opening of the engineer Gerardo Centeno, president of the Portoviejo Tennis Club, father of a player who did the competition process and played Ecuajunior. That knowledge and experience makes it much easier to help our child and youth development program that we have been maintaining with great effort for a couple of decades, ”said the tournament director, Johnny Saldivias.
The award ceremony was attended by Gerardo Centeno, president of the PTC; Saldivias, parents, coaches and players, where the Tropicmax Cup and sporting goods were delivered to the champions and vice-champions. For the number 1 and 2 of the ranking At the end of the XV Ecuajunior Circuit there will be scholarships for technical training and physical preparation at Núñez Tennis Training, in La Florida, in the United States.
