Chungjang-dong, Joongang-cho and village educational community projects are actively promoted: Korea News Communication

[대한뉴스통신/장병기 기자] Gwangju Dong-gu (Chief Imtaek) Chungjang-dong announced that they had a meaningful time to deliver sports and school supplies to the students of the central elementary school in the building with the members of the Dong Residents’ Association (President Yeo Geun-su) and Jeong Jeong-woong (Wonkwang Credit Union branch manager) residents’ association.

To comply with the COVID-19 social distancing, this event was held with only a minimum number of participants.The residents’ association delivered 32 sets of school supplies, including a pencil case, highlighter, and toothbrush set, and 9 sets of badminton rackets from the Wonkwang Credit Union to Joongang Elementary School students.

Since last January, the Chungjang-dong Residents’ Association has signed a business agreement with Joongang-cho and has been promoting various village education community projects such as the formation of the Green Narae Club and the Gwangjucheon EM throwing earthen balls.

In particular, Commissioner Jeong Jeong-woong has continued to support residents by donating 200 books to the Chungjang-dong Book Cafe (3rd floor of the Administrative Welfare Center) in April.

Chungjang-dong Mayor Lim Gyeong-suk said, “Thank you to the Residents’ Association for sponsoring school supplies and sports equipment for Joongang Elementary School students.” .
