Carlos Candás, Asturias champion of salmonid fishing set, in Piloñes waters

Carlos Candás Iglesias, from the Río Piloña Fishing Club, won the title of champion of Asturias in salmonid fishing set (catch and release), elucidated last weekend, May 22 and 23, in the Infiesto and Villamayor preserves, in the waters of the Piloña River, which was qualifying for the specialty Spanish championship. Rubén Fraga Balseiro (CP Robalo Astur) and José Prieto Álvarez (CP Mar de Mares), were second and third, respectively, in the individual classification of the aforementioned Regional of the current year 2021.

By clubs, andhe Asturian salmonid lance championship was awarded, for the first time in its short history – last year there was no Regional due to the uncertainty due to the Covid pandemic-, the host Club de Pesca Río Piloña, thanks to Carlos Candás, Sergio Barroso (sixth), Jonathan Fernández (tenth) and Edgar González (eleventh). CP Mar de Mares was runner-up, with José Prieto, Juan Manuel Zenao (fifth), Luis Miguel Fernández (ninth) and Valentin Díaz (nineteenth). CP Robalo Astur completed the podium.
