Brooks Koepka’s obvious dislike for Bryson DeChambeau is great for golf – EzAnime.net

Brooks Koepka and Bryson DeChambeau have been in a silly golf match for quite some time. The two are obviously not big fans of each other and they haven’t been as concerned with hiding that fact.

Well, that dispute spiked like 150 percent Monday night when a previously unaired video of Koepka upset by DeChambeau at the PGA Championship went viral.

It is an amazing video. Perhaps the best golf video of all time. I saw it like 40 times last night and I hope to see it more today.

In the video, Koepka is doing a taped post-round interview with Golf Channel’s Todd Lewis. Obviously, Koepka is upset at first that DeChambeau is around them. Then later, DeChambeau and one of his boys walk directly behind Koepka, who loses his train of thought and rip off some bad words that cause the interview to stop.

The best part is at the end when Koepka tells Lewis that he wouldn’t mind at all if the video was on TV. That’s how much he hates DeChambeau. He is not afraid to hide it at all.

And you know what? This enmity and hatred is so great for golf.

Koepka and DeChambeau or two of the best golfers in the world and a personal rivalry like this can only make things more interesting when they find themselves fighting down the stretch of a tournament, which could happen any week the two are on the course.

The PGA Tour can be a very basic place where a lot of guys are happy about a top 20 finish and the six to seven figure pay that comes with that. There are lots of smiles, cheers to the crowd after a good shot or a great putt, and the reactions to the great moments are shocking.

What the Tour lacks is any real disdain that is felt among some players that leads to some epic Sunday matchups and makes casual fans sit up and tune in.

Up to now.

I’ve said before that the PGA Tour should do everything in its power to have these two great golfers paired up in a tournament and I feel even more passionate about that right now. I mean, imagine if the USGA did that during the first two rounds of the next US Open. They would be gold ratings. So imagine if they are in the final group on Sunday fighting for victory? Me. Goodness.

These two guys are likely to be key figures on the United States Ryder Cup squad this year as well, which will be a very interesting team room. There’s no way Captain Steve Stricker would match them on that stage, but imagine if he did !? Again, there is NO chance of that happening, but let me dream a bit this Tuesday morning.

Let me dream!

This personal rivalry between Koepka and DeChambeau is a lot of fun and if you don’t think so, you need to calm down a bit and take it all in. Enjoy it. Marvel at. Laugh at that. Love it.

I can’t wait for the next video or interaction between these two brothers to appear. Can. No. Wait.

And the PGA Tour should feel the same way.
