The Canadian Denis Shapovalov has announced that he will not be present at the Roland-Garros tournament which begins on Monday, due to a shoulder injury.
“I am saddened to announce that after consulting my medical team, I made the difficult decision to withdraw from Roland-Garros. Unfortunately, my shoulder is bothering me and while I wait for the medical exams to be good, the best thing for me is to rest. See you in 2022, Roland-Garros. “

Shapo was successful in his last tournament, when he reached the final of the Geneva Tournament. However, he lost in the final against Casper Ruud.
