The explosive Russell Westbrook did not have his best night in Philadelphia. The point guard was forced to leave earlier than planned the game that Wizards lost to Sixers (120-95) due to an apparent ankle injury, and when he was heading to the locker room, the unusual thing happened: a fan threw his popcorn at him, who angrily she tried to get out of safety to confront him.

Evidently, security prevented the evil from being greater. But Westbrook was not lacking in his desire to confront the aggressor, who was immediately expelled from the arena. The point guard was clear after the game, and asked for more protection for the players: “He would not come to me and throw popcorn on my head while on the street, because you know what happens.”

Westbrook struggled with his shots for the night, scoring just 2 of 10 and finished with a double-double of 10 points, 11 assists and six rebounds. The Wizards ultimately lost 120-95 and are now down 0-2 in the best-of-seven tie, while Game 3 will be played next Saturday in Washington.
