According to the press from the south of the continent, García’s body was found in the early morning in his apartment in the city of Mendoza. Additionally, it was reported that the former striker was currently receiving psychiatric treatment for a depression.

García Correa played since 2016 with Godoy Cruz of the first division of Argentina with which he registered 51 goals in 119 games. The Uruguayan also wore the shirts of Nacional and River plate of his country, Atlético Paranaense of Brazil and Kasimpasa of Turkey.
