Spain hosted trial event of the League of Judo schools – Judo News

In November 2020, Madrid hosted a trial event of the Judo Schools League with around 400 participants.

With such great interest, teams were limited to eight athletes purely for capacity reasons, no doubt without these limitations more judokas could have been present. However, this sensational participation brought together 48 teams divided into three age groups.

The event was presented on four tatami mats with 12 judges, one central and two at the table. As the test was a great success, we can look to the future, already with the proposals of the League of Judo Schools in preparation. Not only was the number of participants welcome, but the feedback has been well received, thanks to the schools and teachers.

A special mention deserves the Royal Spanish Judo Federation, that after so much tragedy during the pandemic crisis, they were able to recover and organize a memorable event, a true victory for judo and humanity.
