Today’s path is characterized by a first distinguished part to three GPM, and a second move for a probable I arrive in a sprint, which, however, could favor sprinters capable of defend well along the snags.

The three GPM present in the first half of the stage are: the Coast of Doors at kilometer 28, followed at kilometer 53 by the Coast of the Brousses, and at kilometer 83 from Tharaux coast. From here on there will no longer be major elevation difficulties, but some trotters that could be skim the group, but don’t create a large selection. At 4000 meters from the conclusion there will already be a small taste of the finale with a first pass under the finish line. This will favor a study greater than one sprint reserved for a select few.

Today’s could prove to be the stage of revenge primarily for the European and Italian champion Giacomo Nizzolo (Qhubeka Assos), back from a fourth and a third place; and then, given the continuous ups and downs, Italy could also rely on Alberto Bettiol (EF Education-Nippo). We therefore have the Trek-Segafredo, who yesterday worked well with a splendid one Vincenzo Nibali in support of the former world champion Mads Pedersen, then went off the road just 700 meters from the finish. The latter is certainly one of the very first favorites for a possible redemption together with his teammate Edward Theuns. Obviously, the leader of the general should not be excluded either Christophe Laporte (Cofidis), and then we can also mention Nacer Bouhanni (Arkéa Samsic), Tim Merlier (Alpecin Fenix), Rudy Barbier (Israel Start-Up Nation) e Bryan Coquard (B&B Hotels).
