REPLAY. Between the Canjuers plateau and the Maures massif, discover the Dracénois country

The dragon of Provence, emblem of Draguignan and a true mythical legend, has become an inspiration for the troop The Dragon Company and its captain, Patrick Adloff, invested in the desire to share their passion and perpetuate an 800-year-old tradition, archery.
Patrick also trains a team of blind people!

From theory to practice, Nathalie is inducted and becomes Companion of the dragon!

From one tradition to another, Nathalie leaves Draguignan for Salernes via The Mediterranean by bike. A cycle path of more than 7,500 kilometers connecting Greece to Spain!

In Salernes, the industrialization of the work of the terracotta and the tomette takes a considerable extent from 1850. Today, they are only two producers, but this ancestral tradition of the region is a passion that never gets lost for Cyril and Évelyne.

Nathalie then goes to … Nathalie’s family orchard! Here the treasure is the white fig of Salernes, a product in distress. The association’s harvests Lou Figoun are delivered to the village confectioner to develop and keep the “figon” alive.

For its customers fond of local products, Alexandre’s chocolate factory offers pastries such as chocolate bar filled with figon or figon confit. After a little cooking class, Nathalie goes to the tasting!

Finally, Nathalie meets Arlette, a game-maker. This tradition was passed on to her by her father, with whom she worked for several years. Previously used by shepherds, peasants and hunters, this natural sheepskin bag is now used to carry photographic equipment, books or tools.

It is in a family atmosphere, made of smiles and shared work, that Nathalie ends her trip to the heart of a country that is full of legends and traditions, each one as incredible as the next.
