Today, the NFL announced the signing of a partnership with the mobile gaming platform Skillz.
As part of the deal, the NFL and Skillz are launching a crowdsourcing to create a future mobile esport game around the NFL. The challenge will be launched during the second quarter of 2021. The only exception for developers is not to offer a concept of a simulation game in an 11 VS 11 format.
“Mobile gaming continues to be an important platform to engage our fans and reach new ones” Rachel Hoagland, vice president of Gaming & Esports at the NFL, said in a statement.
The objective does seem to be able to create a platform potentially playable by millions of players around the world.
