Fred VanVleet is not about to forget his evening of February 2, 2021.

The Raptors playmaker had a historic game in the Toronto Raptors’ 123-108 victory over the Orlando Magic on Tuesday.

VanVleet recorded a staggering 54 points which represents a new team mark for the Canadian squad. The previous record of 52 belonged to DeMar DeRozan and was set in 2018. VanVleet notably managed 11 city center shots to manage to reach this impressive target.

In Raptors history, only Vince Carter, Terrence Ross and DeMar DeRozan had signed a game of 50 points or more.

His total is a record for an undrafted player in the NBA and he became the first player in Raptors history to break the 50-point mark in a road game.

VanVleet got off to a strong start to help his team close an 11-point deficit from the start. He concluded the first quarter with a harvest of 17 points. He only missed six shots in the entire game.

For his part, Kyle Lowry had a hat-trick with 14 points, 10 rebounds and 10 assists.

Chris Boucher was limited to seven points and five rebounds in 18 minutes of play.

In the loss, Nikola Vicevic scored another brace with 21 points and 18 rebounds.
