Messi contract: Argentinian asked to learn Catalan

The saga around Lionel Messi’s contract is far from over. If we had learned that the Argentine received more than half a billion euros over four years (salary and various bonuses included), Sports world continues to reveal details of his contract.

Apparently the attacker is asked to “realize maximum efforts to integrate into Catalan society, respecting and assuming its cultural values, in particular by committing to learning the Catalan language, a fundamental vector of this integration.“

According to SoFoot magazine, Messi would have included a release clause in this requirement if Catalonia were to gain independence.
