LE CREUSOT: 2020-2021 contributions reduced by 27% for ACAPS members

Hugues Charbonnier was reappointed to the presidency of ACAPS this Friday afternoon.

Faced with the restrictions and uncertainties caused by this health crisis, the general assembly of the Creusotine Association for Physical and Sports Activities (ACAPS), canceled on November 20, 2020, was postponed to Friday February 5, 2021.
The meeting rooms being closed, the gatherings being limited to 6 people, the only way to hold this meeting was to limit it to a limited number of participants. This general assembly was held by videoconference, with 4 people in person at the ACAPS office, the other participants being by videoconference (committee + auditor). The reports and topics were presented by the various speakers. The welcome was made by the president Hugues Charbonnier, who thanked the participants for their presence and their implication so that this “particular” assembly can proceed normally. He also thanked the municipalities for their welcome (Torcy-Le Breuil) and of course Le Creusot which, by the free provision of its rooms and equipment, its staff (judo and swimming pool) helps to allow everyone to practice a activity at a lower cost. This year is also the year of renewal: Denise Blondeau and Jean-Louis Chaudron are leaving the committee after many years of service. Denise, as a trip organizer, selected all the centers and reception points which still leave good memories to the various participants today. Jean-Louis, as an indefatigable walker, surveyed all the regional and national paths (especially alpine). Many of these trails are still used today in our weekly hikes. It is also the departure time for Roger Lamalle and Roger Berthier. Roger Lamalle gave his advice to perfect the athlete bodies of the members. The weight room was a high place of conviviality between the different participants. Roger Berthier, we no longer present him, is locally known to all. “It is discretion, kindness and the gymnast at the service of others”. Roger Lamalle will be replaced by Patrick Poisson, and Roger Berthier by Daniel Chanat.
Hugues Charbonnier also thanked the “administrators” of ACAPS, because if this year was truncated by one quarter, it generated a lot of work, between cancellations, postponements … so many acts that require phone calls, papers, accounting records, so many acts that have generated concerns and decisions to be taken.
This year having been cut by one quarter, it was decided that the 2020/2021 re-enrollments would benefit from a reduced contribution of around 27%. Membership at the time of containment (March 16, 2020) was 474 people which, brought back to the same period of previous years, was of the same order of magnitude. “We can divide this year into two periods, the first period with highlights, and the second is a time out”.
We can count 4 highlights: The pink zumba on October 27, 2019 brought together 300 people at the Alto and raised € 1,840 for cancer research. On November 30, 2019, the 40 years of ACAPS, were organized at the Ursulines room in Montcenis. 171 guests attended this event. On December 5 and 12, 2019 at Les Crêtes and Le Breuil, 2 walks for the benefit of the telethon brought together 100 people. A check for € 809 was given to the telethon association. On February 13, 2020, an afternoon of photos and films took place: Anne Marie Lemaire and Daniel Beaujard offered a retrospective of the walks and stays of the ACAPS The dead time: From March 16, 2020: nothing, no meetings, no activities, nor prospects for serious recoveries. “We are subjected to the announcements, to the promises, to the vagaries of the virus of these mutants, to the graphics, to the percentages, to the speeches. The associative world, if it is less vital than the economic world, which we understand perfectly, nevertheless has an important social role. The “oblivion” in which we are today will leave traces. Many of our members will not come back. It will take a lot of work for some to come out of the “shelters” recalled the president. A small flat on the hikes: they have so far been able to resume, in accordance with a strict health protocol.
This general assembly continued with the election of the new committee, made up of 17 people, elected for 4 years. (until November 2024). From this committee, the office was renewed for 4 years, namely: Chairman: Hugues Charbonnier; Pleine Nature President: Gérard Brie; Secretary General: Martine Pillot; Deputy Secretary: Anne-Marie Lagrange; Outdoor Secretary: Ginette Loury; Treasurer: Nicole Brossais.
