Almost a year after the 2019/2020 campaign came to a halt (last March), the Argentine Basketball League will make the initial leap this month and Córdoba, at the Club Barrio Parque facilities, will be one of its venues.
With the authorization of the Municipality and the Córdoba Sports Agency, Verde del Sur presented its candidacy and this Monday the Club Association announced it as host.
Barrio Parque will be the scene of the Northern Conference of the second division of Argentine basketball. This zone will be played jointly in the city of Santa Fe, under the organization of Colón and Unión.
The contest, which will begin on the 18th, will feature the participation of 29 clubs divided into two conferences: the North made up of 15 teams, and the South made up of 14 teams.
In the Regular Phase they will face everyone against everyone within the same conference, where at the end of that stage the eight best teams from each division will be classified to the playoff stage.
The opening game of the 2021 season will be played by Unión and Colón de Santa Fe, on Thursday 18. That same day the entire Northern Conference will be played in full.
The following day, Friday 19, the South Conference will begin, which will take place in Viedma-Carmen de Patagones; in charge of the Deportivo Viedma and Atenas maragato clubs; and Lanús, where the headquarters will be the Club Atlético Lanús de Buenos Aires.
