Anthony Quirion named to NCAA Southland Conference Preseason All-Star Team!

Mirabel, Quebec, February 1, 2021 – Last year, before the start of the 2020 baseball season, Quebec baseball player Anthony Quirion was elected by the organization Perfect Game on the NCAA Division I All-Star “Preseason” Southland Conference team… as a third baseman!

This year, 19 days before the start of the NCAA season, Quirion is once again honored by being selected on his Conference All-Star “preseason” team… but this time as a receiver!

Wow! What phenomenal proof of versatility.

It must be said that Quirion had a whole 2020 season with his team of the Cardinals from Lamar University in Texas, even if the campaign was cut short due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

In fact, the athlete from Dixville, Quebec took part in 17 games with his team posting a batting average of 0.324, with 3 doubles and as many home runs. The 6-foot-3 colossus weighing just over 200 pounds also produced 18 points for his own!

What’s more, as if that weren’t enough, Anthony posted a perfect record in defense, having been involved in 81 games in those 17 games.

No wonder then that Perfect Game with regard to his appointment either: ” Versatile defender with consistent bat “, Which can be translated as:” Versatile defender showing consistency at the bat! “

Quirion and his teammates, including Quebecer Déric Lamontagne, will start their 2021 season on February 19… the team’s schedule having been unveiled today.
