The Korean government has set a policy to include the Tokyo Olympics athletes as priority candidates for the Corona 19 vaccine.
It is expected that about a thousand people will be eligible, including those who are preparing for the Tokyo Olympics right now, as well as those preparing for the Beijing Winter Olympics next year.
In addition, the standards for self-quarantine for athletes were eased, and it was decided to devote all efforts to supporting the Olympics.

Five months ahead of the Tokyo Olympics, Australia, Denmark, Hungary and Belgium are vaccinating athletes first.
The Korean government is also giving priority to vaccination from the national representative.
It includes not only the main stage of the Tokyo Olympics this summer, but also the athletes who took part in the international competition, and the national team of the Beijing Winter Olympics, which is approaching a year ahead.
The size is estimated to be around 1,000 people, and it is expected to be vaccinated as early as March.
The national representative is not subject to priority vaccination announced by the Korea Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, but will be assigned to the front after a resolution process of the’Vaccination Review Committee’.
Although the uncomfortable gaze of preferential treatment and cut-in is expected, we chose to break through the front because it is the minimum safety net for a small number of national representatives.

At the same time, some measures of self-isolation by national representatives will be eased.
The quarantine authorities plan to help athletes before the Olympics reduce self-isolation to one week after participating in the international competition, or to provide minimal training through quarantine of the same group or cohort.
Conditional approval has already been granted, assuming a negative Corona 19 confirmation is issued.
