Penultimate of the D1 Arkema championship, the Issy les Moulineaux women’s team recorded 2 wins for 9 losses before restarting the season against Dijon on Saturday January 16 for the 12th day. Issy les Moulineaux coach Yacine Guesmia gave an update with Actufoot. Interview !

How are you at the start of the year?

Yes very well. We cut ten days, for a recovery Monday, December 28. This cut was good to leave with full batteries for the second part of the season.

“I believe in the group we currently have”

What is your sports record of the first leg (11th)?

We are at 1 point from our objective, which is maintenance. I think with a little more experience we could have grabbed a few more points. Today, we are focused on the 2nd part of the season and our goal.

Do you think your workforce is sufficient or do you plan to strengthen it for the return phase?

I believe in the group we have now, it is not essential to recruit, but if opportunities arise, we will think about what is best for the balance of the team.

Promoted to D1, what is the main difference between this division and D2?

There is a completely different intensity, higher technical level and coherent tactical organizations.

“Margot (Dumont) is passionate”

With Covid 19 and compulsory health precautions, is the club’s sustainability in danger?

We have a strict sanitary protocol, we respect it and so far, everything is going well.

Back at the club since 2016, do you continue to flourish in this position of coach of women?

It’s the same sport, as long as it’s football I will continue to thrive no matter what women’s or men’s football.

A word about Margot Dumont (journalist from Bein Sport). How was she in the locker room and on the pitch?

Margot is passionate, present as soon as she had no professional constraints. On the ground, is always thoroughly, with a good state of mind. Only problem, she did not want to use her left foot (sic).
