Physical education teacher Héctor Javier Corti, is the one chosen for succeed the resigning Rafael Morgenstern at the head of the Sports Ministry of the Province. The confirmation came from Governor Oscar Herrera Ahuad, who decided to accept the resignation of the former pilot and summon an official who already he worked in the Subsecretariat of Sports and Recreation for Human Development.
Corti, a native of Puerto Rico, He is 48 years old, has two children and a strong bond with basketball.. From the hand of the historical leader Víctor Pierotti and his son Alejandro, he was part of the Siglo XXI club, an emblem of the sport of orange in the province of Misiones.
He founded the San Martín basketball school, which participated in the Provincial Basketball League, in formative categories and never abandoned teaching.
When Governor Oscar Herrera Ahuad took over as Chief of the Executive Branch, he summoned Corti to join the Ministry of Sports, creating a space that would become more involved with field work. Thus, from the Undersecretariat of Sports and Recreation for Human Development, Corti delivered materials, helped in the protocols for the moderate restart of disciplines in the midst of a pandemic and promoted a program to recruit talent from missionary soccer players, who may have a chance to join the team of the Crucero del Norte club, in the Federal A.
His relationship with soccer is not new, since he knew how to be part of the 25 de Mayo club in Puerto Rico, where he even shared a squad with Governor Herrera Ahuad.
Corti and Herrera Ahuad have known each other since the time they were both in high school and the current governor is remembered as a great indoor soccer goalkeeper, in his student days.
Professor Corti, who will formally assume after the swearing-in ceremony, received the appointment “with surprise and joy” and He already has in mind a work plan with the fundamental axis in the challenge of physical education in times of protocol, distancing, with a strong commitment to horizontality in all sports activities in education.
