Tragic news that we learn on January 28, 2021: Patrick Huby has passed away.
This is terrible news and a real shock for all those who knew him: Patrick Huby is deceased.
The man had ended his coaching career a little less than a year ago.
At the very end of last year, he suffered a serious health accident. Hospitalized since, he left this Thursday.

“I want to have time for myself. To no longer have fixed occupations, obligations. I just turned 60. I want to occupy myself differently during the week. And on Sunday, to go see my match where and when I want ” He explained to us in June 2020, after having decided to stop coaching and take time for him. He remained on a busy career as a player and coach.
“I had the chance to be champion in all categories with the SRU Verviers: preeminent. I do not forget either the access to the final round with Dolhain, in P2, the rescue of Fraiture, to bring up Hellas and Nessonvaux, to be champion with the national juniors of Verviers, to finish in a nice 2nd place in 2C with the Pepinster some Bouassam and other Nalbou, going up with Dison in P1… I have experienced great things but now it’s well and truly over. Whether as a player or as a coach, I believe that I have given enough… ” he thought rightly.
It is that after 27 years rich in emotions, between beginnings as player-trainer at Dolhain in 1993 and a last freelance in 2020 with the Dames de Dison (the team where his native daughter plays), “Pat ‘” had want something else … Life, cruel, decided otherwise. Patrick went to join his brother José, suddenly and tragically left too. It was in May 2020 and the editorial staff of l’Avenir (Le Jour) Verviers would like to extend their sincere condolences to the friends, relatives and family of Patrick Huby.
