Just like in the movie Wanted with Angelina Jolie, but soft balls are thrown instead of bullets

In the movie Wanted – Choose your destiny of 2008, the most famous and absurd scene is the one that sees the character played by Angelina Jolie shoot a bullet that curves 360 degrees by taking out all the bad guys, but sacrificing herself at the same time. Hasbro unveiled a special version of the Nerf toy gun that takes the same philosophy by launching soft foam balls capable of turning in multiple directions.

The model in question is called Nerf Rival Curve and comes in three variants with the single shot called Flex, the one with 12 spheres (2 cm in diameter) called Sideswipe and the supreme one called Helix which it goes up to 20 balls in addition to mounting a particular grip to improve the grip on the launcher.

The first Rival model was made official in 2015 inspired by the hop-up, a component for soft-air weapons capable of spinning upward bullets. At the base is the Magnus effect, which allows in certain sports to curve shots (as in football) or throws (as in baseball) going to twist during the action.

With the Rival Curve series you can turn right, left or even from top to bottom going to rotate the end of the barrel. Compared to the presentation images, the effect is less pronounced, but still appreciable, as can be seen in the video below:

Thanks to a pump system, it is not necessary to rely on batteries to operate the Nerf Rival Curve guns, which will first impact the American markets with rather popular prices. In fact, it ranges from $ 14.99 or about 12 euros for the Flex model to $ 24.99 or about 20 euros for the Sideswipe one up to $ 29.99 or about 24 euros for the Helix model, which in principle will be an exclusive of the chain Target.
