The Danish and Hungarian handball players continue the second round of the World Cup without losses

The Danish and Hungarian handball teams won the second round of the World Cup on Thursday, maintaining the lead in the second and first groups respectively.

Denmark 32:23 (17:12) defeated Qatar.

Mikels Hansen, who plays daily with the Latvian “giant” Daina Krištopāns, scored eight goals for the Danish national team in the ranks of the “Saint-Germain” team in Paris. Matīss Gidsels joins six more goals. In the Qatari team, Frankis Marzo was the top scorer with 12 goals in 17 attempts.

In the second group, Croatia defeated Bahrain with 28:18 (13: 8).

Zlatko Horvath scored eight goals in favor of the winners, while Muhammad Ahmed and Hussein Alsajad scored six goals in the Bahrain national team.

Meanwhile, Argentina defeated Japan with 28:24 (17:13).

Federico Pizarro stood with ten goals in the Argentine national team, but Diego Esteban Simonets threw in half. Japan’s six-goal Tatsuki Yoshino.

The leader of the second group in the second round with six points is Denmark, followed by Croatia with five points, Argentina with one less point, and two points at the expense of Qatar. After three games, Japan has scored one point, while Bahrain has not scored.

In the first group, the leader Hungary defeated Brazil with 29:23 (16:11).

Bence Banhidi was the most productive player of the Hungarian national team with five goals, but Haniel Langaru stood out with eight “goals” in the second half.

In another game, Spain beat Germany with 32:28 (16:13).

Angel Fernandess Peress scored six goals, while the German national team scored seven goals for Timo Kastening, but Kais Hafner scored one less.

Finally, Poland destroyed Uruguay at 30:16 (14: 9).

Arkady Morito was accurate in the Polish national team in all eight attempts, while in the Uruguayan team Maxim Esteban Kansio Kasas took all six shots.

Hungary is the leader of the first group with six points, Spain is one less, Poland follows with four points, but Germany has reached two. Brazil follows by one point, but Uruguay fights without victory.

The World Handball Championship in and around Cairo takes place from 13 to 31 January. In the first stage of the main tournament, 32 teams are divided into eight subgroups of four each. The second stage was reached by the three best teams in each group.

Two years ago in the championships in Denmark and Germany, the Danes won their first title in history, defeating the Norwegians in the final with 31:22.
