Dortmund’s success at RB Leipzig comes with only one downer for coach Edin Terzic’s team: midfielder Axel Witsel will be out longer.
Bundesliga soccer team Borussia Dortmund has to face the Belgian midfielder for months Axel Witsel dispense. The 31-year-old suffered 3-1 (0-0) on Saturday evening RB Leipzig a tear in the Achilles tendon. BVB confirmed this on Sunday after closer investigations. Witsel should therefore be out for the rest of the season and probably also for the European championship in summer.
Witsel got stuck in Leipzig after half an hour with his left foot without any opponent interference in the lawn. He was then brought into the cabin with the help of supervisors.
