Teams Begin to Disband, PT Liga Indonesia Baru Can Only Hope

LIB as the operator of Indonesia’s professional competition also understands the current situation which is very difficult in the midst of uncertainty.

Along with the competition whose status is not yet clear, many clubs have disbanded their teams because they are also having difficulty dealing with situations like this, especially because of the corona virus pandemic.

PT Liga Indonesia Baru (LIB) as the competition operator has planned that the competition will be rolled out again in February this year. However, this also cannot be ascertained because the police permit has not yet been issued.

This certainly makes the club hesitant to continue planning, while they also have to continue to spend money on things that are not certain. Several teams from League 1 and League 2 have already disbanded their players.

LIB understands this situation, as stated by Akhmad Hadian Lukita. According to him, the current conditions are tough for any football player, that’s why LIB cannot force clubs to stay prepared for League 1 or League 2.

“I just respect the club’s decision. Because the club’s condition is tough right now, we understand. Including PSSI is also tough, LIB, nothing is not that heavy,” said the man who officially became the president director of LIB, last June.

LIB itself continues to strive so that it can get certainty regarding permission from the police. Lukita only hopes that all parties can survive this situation and compete again in the midst of difficult conditions.

“So we hope all parties can survive with the current conditions, “said the man born in Bandung, who had worked at PT LAPI Divusi, a company in the field of Information and Technology.

As is well known, the Indonesian competition is planned to roll back in October last year with strict health protocols. However, the police did not give permission because they considered the corona virus pandemic in Indonesia not yet under control.

PSSI and LIB finally determined that Liga 1 and Liga 2 began in February, but unfortunately the police have not yet given written permission about the competition. There are concerns that the Covid-19 cases in Indonesia are actually increasing.

Even though it has received a good signal from the police verbally, LIB can only take steps after there is an express official permit. “Hopefully there will be good developments in the future (regarding permission from the police),” closed Lukita.
