Judo Still recovering from ankle injury
El Spanish national judo team compete in the Doha Masters, which has been held since Monday, with a team made up of nine judokas and with the notable absence of Nikoloz Sherazadishvili, injured in an ankle.
The most prominent absence will be that of Sherazadishvili, that after finishing 2020 by third consecutive year in first position in the international ranking, is still in the process of recovering from a ankle injury, informs the Spanish federation.
In Doha they will be Laura Martnez and Julia Figueroa (-48 kg), Ana Prez and Estrella Lpez (-52), Mara Bernabu (-70), Sara lvarez (+78), Francisco Garrigs (-60) and Alberto Gaitero and Daniel Prez (-66 ).
Doha will host the “World Judo Master” from January 11 to 13, the first round of the IJF Circuit of 2021 and with more than 400 competitors from 70 countries.
