Interviewed by TNT Brasil, Danilo has released the following statements on Andrea Pirlo, coach of Juventus.
PIRLO – «I think it reflects a lot of what he was as a player. No wonder that those who look from the outside really perceive Pirlo as always concentrated. Who speaks less than other coaches, who expresses himself less, but has already shown as a player, always very calm, with few words but who knew how to perform very well with the ball. He always had clear ideas as a coach, as a team commander. And I think this was an important point to conquer the group, to be able to follow his ideas from the team. I think this is the most important thing for a coach’s work, obviously also the decisions on who to play and who not or changes during the game, this is also important. But getting the team to follow you, having 20 players follow your job idea, the idea of football, is the hardest thing. He was able to implement it and be followed by the team quickly. Of course, it’s not very easy to adapt after a very different job than we had before, so it takes time, even for newcomers. But what the coach has to offer more is being able to faithfully follow his football ideas from the team ».
