Sanchez-Dzeko, exchange between Roma and Inter: it is

Executives compared in a hotel in Milan. Similar net salaries, but the Nerazzurri could not spend “zero”: the Chilean, unlike the Bosnian, is an impatriate worker

Sanchez-Dzeko exchange, a meeting between the sporting director of Inter Piero Ausilio and that of Roma Tiago Pinto is underway in the ME hotel in Piazza della Repubblica in Milan. There is no Inter CEO Beppe Marotta, who returned to the club’s headquarters after the Lega assembly.

The numbers

Salaries for the two players are almost identical in net terms (7 million euros for the first until 2023, 7.5 for the second until 2022), a figure that would favor the exchange that Inter did not initially open.

Not for technical reasons (Conte and Fonseca have always liked the Bosnian would serve someone like the Chilean), but economic: the gross salary, in fact, is different by virtue of the subsidized regime for impatriated sportsmen (taxation regime enjoyed by the Nerazzurri ). The possible expense of Inter, therefore, would not be “zero” as, instead, they would like. This applies to those who arrived in Italy since 2019 and lived abroad for at least the previous two years: obviously, not the case of Dzeko.

Different expectations

Dzeko, who has now broken up with Fonseca, is still leaving (for the fourth time since he has worn the Giallorossi), Sanchez waiting but with the awareness that he can be important for Inter and have Conte’s confidence (in the derby of the Italian Cup started in the place of Lautaro). This is the story of the 2021 winter market: very little money, we think about exchanges. But even in these cases, only under certain (advantageous) conditions.
