Record champions apparently turn to England defender Omar Richards

The plans for the coming season are progressing at FC Bayern in the current transfer period. Now Munich should apparently have great interest in a defensive player.

The situation around David Alaba and Jerome Boateng in the defense of FC Bayern Munich is still unclear, the signs are currently more of a farewell for both defensive players. Now, however, the German record champions are apparently already driving the search for reinforcements: According to “The Athletic”, Munich are very interested in signing defender Omar Richards from English second division Reading.

Accordingly, Bayern are already in advanced negotiations with the club about a change of the 22-year-old – Richards’ contract expires in the summer, so he can hold talks with other clubs. The left-back has so far been used in 21 games of the season and joined the Reading professionals in 2017.

Richards is considered a talented, fast full-back with a robust physique (1.85m). At Bayern, Alphonso Davies is an undisputed regular player in his position – although replacement Lucas Hernandez could be used more in central defense if Alaba and Boateng leave. Then there would be room for Richards.
