PSG: Diallo replaces Kehrer to face Brest

We take – almost – the same ones and start over. Three days after his first outing on the sidelines in Saint-Etienne, Mauricio Pochettino hardly shook his starting XI. In the absence of Neymar, Rafinha, Kimpembé, Danilo, Paredes and Bernat, the former Parisian defender has chosen to line up almost the same team against Brest this Saturday evening, for his comeback at the Parc des Princes.

In front of Keylor Navas, the only change compared to the 11 aligned in the Forez is in central defense. If Colin Dagba and Mitchel Bakker respectively retain their place on the right and left flanks, Thilo Kehrer is, however, not in the game. Three days after his blunder at Geoffroy-Guichard, the German defender was not sanctioned by his new coach. Diagnosed positive for Covid-19 in the afternoon, the former Schalke 04 was placed in solitary confinement, like Rafinha last week. He is replaced by Diallo.

For the rest, no change. Despite the returns of Layvin Kurzawa, Alessandro Florenzi and especially Mauro Icardi, Pochettino decided to lead the same triplets in the middle and in attack. The Spaniard Ander Herrera and the Senegalese Idrissa Gueye will “frame” Marco Verratti, who will once again be placed at the heart of the game. As for the attack, it will again be composed of the trident Di Maria – Kean – Mbappé. An assembly which, Wednesday, had only allowed the Italian to pull out of the game.
