Panagiotis Sikaras – Wikipedia

Panagiotis Sikaras (Born May 5, 1979 in Chicago, Illinois) is a Greek baseball player who plays as a catcher for the Heidenheim Heathers. He took part in the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens.

In 2000 Sikaras started in the US minor league with the Arizona Diamondbacks. In 2001 he played with the Yakima Bears, the Lancaster JetHawks and the Tucson Sidewinders, with whom he stayed until 2003. In 2004 he went to the El Paso Diablos. After the 2004 Olympics, he competed for the Tennessee Smokies in 2005, before moving to Erie SeaWolves and then to Gary Southshore Railcats in 2006. In 2007 and 2008 he served in the American Association of Independent Professional Baseball for the Edmonton Cracker-Cats. In 2010 he started in Italian baseball with the Godo Knights. He has been strengthening Heidenheim Heideköpfe since 2021.

With the Greek national team, he took part in the 2003 European Championships in Haarlem and the 2004 Summer Olympics, in which Italy was surprisingly beaten.
