The year 2021 is off to a bad start for the Packers. According to journalist Ian Rapoport of NFL Media, tackle David Bakhtiari was injured in training and will miss the entire playoffs. More specifically, the injury would be a tear in the antero-external cruciate ligament of the knee.
All-Pro every season since fiscal 2016, and a triple Pro Bowler, Bakhtiari is a leader in Green Bay’s offense and a keystone of Matt Lafleur’s offensive system. His absence is therefore a big blow in the title race, and his replacement Yosuah Nijman risks having a lot of pressure on his shoulders.
