Due to the violent incidents that occurred this Saturday at the Robert Louis-Dreyfus training center (see here), the Professional Football League (LFP) pronounced the postponement of the match of the 22nd day of Ligue 1 which was initially to oppose Olympique de Marseille to Rennes (9 p.m.). The executive director general of the body, Arnaud Rouger, justified this decision at the microphone of the Canal Football Club.

“We condemned the incidents, nothing justifies such violence, it is a first to be led to postpone a match in such conditions, said the manager. We were warned very quickly by OM of the situation. and in particular of the state of shock in which the team and the staff were. Faced with this situation, we warned Rennes of the possible postponement of the meeting. We gathered all the information from the Prefecture and security of the club. We took the decision to postpone the meeting, which seemed to us the wisest. It was unthinkable to maintain these conditions, or to postpone it until tomorrow. “

According to RMC Sport, this meeting could be rescheduled for Wednesday, February 24.
